Blue Horizons is just 300 yards walk from the sands of the famous
Grand Anse beach and was completely renovated in 2005. The hotel now
has 32 suites and studios dotted around acres of established tropical
gardens. All the spacious suites have full kitchens and a private terrace
or veranda, some with sea-views, and some of the suites have separate
sitting-rooms with sofa beds. Within the spacious grounds there is
a large swimming-pool with its own pool bar, with plenty of terrace
space for relaxing in the sunshine. Blue Horizons has its own restaurant
- the Belle Creole – and the hotel is within easy walking distance
of shops and other restaurants. Guests may use certain facilities at
the sister hotel Spice Island (on Grand Anse) including the non-motorised
watersports and comfortable beach loungers. This is a wonderfully convenient
location and a very easy place to have a holiday. The location means
that a car is not essential here, and the owner Arnold Hopkin and his
staff take good care of all their guests, many of whom return each
year.
