Holidays in Grenada - how to get there
How do we get to Grenada?
We use a choice of three airlines, all departing from London Gatwick, as follows:
Monarch Airlines (charter flight)
Summer 2010 (5 May – 27 October)
Wednesday: direct outbound, stopping in Tobago on the return.
Winter 2010/2011 (4 November - 28 April 2011)
Thursday: direct outbound, stopping in Tobago on the return.
British Airways (scheduled flight)
Year round
Tuesday and Sunday: making a stop in Barbados in both directions
Other options
There are also daily flights to Barbados, which can connect with a local
flight to Grenada.
Virgin Atlantic Airways (scheduled flight)
Year round
Thursday: making a stop in Tobago in both directions.
How long are the journeys?
The flight time can vary depending on the route but is generally between 8.5 – 10.5 hours.
What durations are you able to offer?
We can offer holidays in increments of seven nights flying with all the above airlines, although the British Airways service from Gatwick also allows holidays of any duration when flying via Barbados. During the winter months we can, of course, combine the Tuesday and Friday services.
Could we have access to airport lounge facilities?
Yes – there are a number of lounges at Gatwick’s North and South terminals available to pre-book from £18.50 per person.

Monarch Airlines

with Monarch customer services as follows:
Extra leg room seats are £70 each passenger return and can be booked
by calling 0871 225 2555
Pre-booked seats together are £18 each passenger return and can be booked
by calling 0871 225 3555.
You will need to have the following information to hand:
- Dates of travel and destination
- Flight numbers
- Flight booking reference (to be advised by us)
- Names of all passengers
- Credit or debit card details
Please note: Bookings for extra leg room and group seating can only be made between 90 and four days prior to departure date. Specific seat numbers will be advised at check-in. Seats booked together may be separated by an aisle.
On certain routes extra leg room seats can only be offered adjacent to the emergency exit rows. In these cases standard CAA regulations regarding minimum age (16 years +) and mobility restrictions may apply. Monarch Airlines reserves the right to move any passengers that the cabin crew feel are unsuitable for exit row seats.
For clients travelling in Premium we are happy to pass your preferred seating request to the airline, but cannot guarantee seat numbers.
British Airways
BA recently launched a new seating policy. This means that we are no
longer able to pre book your seats when you book your holiday,
however once we have ticketed your booking (approximately 6 weeks
prior to travel) you may pay a fee to select your seats.
The charge for this service is £20 per person per sector for general seats in the World Traveller and £25 per person per sector for World Traveller Plus, or £60 per person per sector for seats in Club World. Exit row seats are also available to pre book between 10 and 4 days prior to departure for £50 per person per sector in World Traveller and World Traveller Plus. We will send you full information about this new pre paid seating policy with your confirmation invoice.
All customers can select any remaining available seats, free of charge, once check-in opens at 24 hours before their flight. The earliest that any passenger can check-in is 24 hours before departure. All customers eligible to use online check-in that have not already pre-assigned their seat should be encouraged to check-in as early as possible either via online check-in on www.ba.com or at the airport, so that they have the best choice of all remaining available seats. The airports will hold no seats back.
Please note that neither prepaid seating or free seating requests can be guaranteed by the airline, as these may need to be changed for operational, safety or security reasons, even after boarding the aircraft. In the event that BA needs to change a customer’s seat they will endeavour to seat them in a suitable alternative (e.g. window for window, aisle for aisle).
Virgin Atlantic
Please advise at time of booking if you have a preferred choice of
seats, i.e. window, middle, aisle and we will pass this information to
the airline. As only a certain proportion of the aircraft is given over to
pre-seating, it may not be possible to pre book your seats if you are
booking late, however you should still be given a choice when you
check-in. We encourage passengers to check-in as early as possible
either via online at virginatlantic.com or at the airport, so that they
have the best choice of all remaining available seats.
Please note that seat requests cannot be guaranteed as these may need to be changed by the airline for operational, safety or security reasons, even after boarding the aircraft. In the event that Virgin needs to change a customer’s seat they will endeavour to seat them in a suitable alternative (e.g. window for window, aisle for aisle).
