About True Blue Bay
True Blue Bay occupies a superb hillside setting overlooking the Caribbean. It is true to say that this a unique hotel and the location on the water’s edge is really stunning.
The hotel has a wide variety of beautifully decorated rooms all of which have access to an amazing variety of facilities and activities. The rooms are lovely, the Tower and Waterfront Suites are stunning, there are also five ocean-facing two-bedroomed villas, stylish and luxurious and each with an indoor plunge pool and the newest addition to the collection – The ‘Cocoa Pods’ – Grenada’s first self-sustaining rooms. Rainwater is harvested, stored in tanks and treated before being used in the rooms and solar panels are used to heat the water and to generate electricity thereby reducing the environmental impact of the entire resort. Hotel owner Magdalena Fielden decorated these charming rooms with her signature eclectic playful style with plenty of tropical flair and colour. The soft and comfortable furnishings were made from ethically sourced wood.
Most rooms have self-catering facilities but guests will find the Dodgy Dock bar on the waterside and the superb and varied food in the restaurant hard to resist. The menus are varied and interesting with Mexican and Oriental dishes to try as well as top-class local and international favourites.
There are four swimming pools, one in the gardens, two new Cocoa pod pools and an infinity pool with its own tiny sandy beach. True Blue Bay marina is home to Horizon Yacht Charters and Aquanauts Diving – day-sails and diving can be booked on the spot. There are also hobie cats available for keen sailors.
There is always something going on at True Blue –Yoga classes, cookery demonstrations, great music at Dodgy Dock with local musicians, occasional craft markets, rum tastings, chocolate festivals and much more. The choice of things to do is amazing – see details here www.truebluebay.com/activities
Most of all however, True Blue Bay is a place to relax and unwind in a lovely setting. This really is a family business – Russ and Magdalena Fielden have created something really special at True Blue — style, atmosphere and the warmest of welcomes. There can be no better way to end a day in Grenada than a sunset cocktail at the Dodgy Dock right on the water’s edge followed by a delicious supper under the stars. We all love this hotel – and the people there!
