La Sagesse
La Sagesse has been described as one of the most romantic locations in the Caribbean and it is hard to argue with that description. It is a grand old colonial manor house with just 5 rooms on the edge of one of Grenada's loveliest beaches. There are now also 5 new rooms and two older cottages in the grounds overlooking the dramatic crescent-shaped beach in an area famed for its wildlife and nature trails. The owners will be delighted to arrange guided walks to help you explore. La Sagesse is one of those very special places in the world – barefoot Caribbean at its atmospheric best, once visited never forgotten. A casual little restaurant on the beach serves the freshest of food in an idyllic setting and life here centres around the half-mile of sand and sea which is La Sagesse. An unforgettable laid-back hideaway which really is off the beaten track so vehicle hire is a good idea – although some visitors just kick off their shoes and forget the rest of the world for a week or two.
