It gives people the chance to actually stay in the spectacular Northern half of Grenada where there is so much to see.
Owners Philip and Annie are great people and the atmosphere and setting are both memorable.
”Just wanted to thank Belinda for her brilliant plan of staying in 3 different places. Petite Anse was perfect – in fact all the places were great and such a lovely contrast. A wonderful holiday!”
Philip and Annie Clift had a dream to create a unique small hotel in dramatic beachfront location in the undiscovered north of Grenada. They found the perfect land in the most amazing setting and in 2009 Petite Anse opened its doors.
Their achievement is a lovely small hideaway hotel in a truly wonderful location. Eleven cottage-style rooms all have private terraces overlooking the ocean with far-reaching views to the island of Carriacou and the Grenadines beyond. A pool and Jacuzzi sit in the lush tropical gardens whilst the bar and restaurant also share the view of which you never tire.
Phillip and Annie are very much a part of the local community and the mood and feel of Petite Anse is captivating. Everything is relaxed and friendly and dinner in the evening is the perfect end to a day in the undiscovered North of Grenada. The excellent chef uses local produce whenever possible to create excellent meals and you can also have lunches and dinners at a couple of nearby restaurants just a short drive away.
Exploring the north of the island is a real treat – you will need to hire a jeep to do this properly – the fascinating working plantation of Belmont and the historic rum distillery at Antoine are all within easy reach and in high season why not stop for lunch at the secluded Helvellyn House with stunning sea views of the Grenadine islands, you can also visit the wild unspoilt beaches of Bathway and Levera, where occasionally you can witness the amazing sight of baby turtles hatching under the moonlight.
Petite Anse really is an oasis of paradise in this undiscovered area of Grenada where the welcome is warm and the breezes are cooling. Many people choose to spend a few lovely days here as part of a longer trip seeing different parts of the island. Golden Triangle Holiday
