About Spice Island
One of Grenada’s foremost hotels with sumptuous air-conditioned accommodation situated on the famous Grand Anse Beach – 2 miles of golden sands and one of the most famous beaches in the Caribbean. There are 64 suites in the hotel and all are furnished and equipped to the highest standards of luxury and comfort. There are a small number of exquisite suites with private gardens and private swimming pools. All the suites are just yards from the blue waters of Grand Anse.
Food of the highest quality is served at Spice Island – a fascinating mixture of creole and international dishes prepared by the superb chefs and their team. The menus change regularly and all tastes can be catered for. Dinner is served in Oliver’s Restaurant which overlooks the beach where the sound of the sea is the background to cocktails and delicious cuisine in a wonderful Caribbean atmosphere. On many evenings the mood is enhanced by top quality gentle music featuring calypso and steel bands. During the day you can enjoy casual drinks and delicious lunches at the Sea ‘n Surf beach bar where again the menu changes regularly.
All the staff at Spice Island are trained to very high standards and their friendly but unobtrusive style is a feature of the hotel which has one countless international awards from the travel industry. Already recognised by Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Spice has recently been honoured with a Six Star Diamond Award for the sixth consecutive year – a rare achievement indeed.
Sir Royston Hopkin and his family have created a world class hotel at Spice Island of which they are rightly very proud. The family are always in attendance at the hotel and they have created a wonderful atmosphere and an experience which is second to none in the Caribbean and is much loved by our clients. Sir Royston sadly passed away in early 2020 but his legacy will be that Spice Island continues to be an iconic hotel in Grenada – his family will continue to run the hotel in the great man’s way.
