About Calabash
One of the great hotels of the Caribbean, Calabash has just 30 suites and provides the highest standards of luxury in superb surroundings. All the rooms are arranged around beautiful gardens which lead straight on to the golden sands of Prickly Bay and each suite has a private terrace on which to enjoy a sundowner. Some suites even have private pools and all are extremely well-equipped with every home comfort.
Calabash takes its food very seriously. Breakfast is cooked to order and served on the private terrace of your room – or on the beach – whilst lunch is taken at the atmospheric Beach Club at Calabash – the perfect beach bar at the water’s edge. Chef Mark Banthorpe has established a reputation for serving the most delicious tapas style lunches here – the reviews we are getting from our clients are outstanding. Each evening you can dine in style at the hotel`s Gary Rhodes restaurant, which serves creative dishes blending the best of Grenadan and international produce.
Prickly Bay beach is quiet and beautiful and extremely relaxing – although there are watersports available as well as scuba diving from the ScubaTech Dive Centre. Over recent years the hotel has taken the opportunity of investing in many of the hotel facilities including re-designing the pool area which includes a Wellness Centre, complete with a new spa, yoga pavilion, relaxation pool and Zen garden.
Calabash is the perfect place for a luxurious, relaxing stay where charming experienced staff are on hand to help in any way. The atmosphere here is really outstanding – Leo Garbutt and his family have a tremendous team and between them they have created a very rare blend of elegance and style but with a friendly and casual mood. This is a very special place to stay – Calabash is now our most popular luxury hotel in the Caribbean .
